Which is good? Valerian root or Melatonin?

As one of the most effective natural sleep aids available, valerian root has a long history of use for insomnia and has been approved by numerous major drug agencies all over the world. Valerian root had been praised for its effectiveness by medical professionals around the world.

Melatonin on the other hand is another popular natural sleep aid which is the hormone that regulates sleep and waking cycles. Melatonin is naturally produced in bodies but the production of melatonin decreases as a person grows. Melatonin helps a person to fall asleep faster, but has no effect on total time.

It is still important to determine what works best when choosing any of the natural sleep aids mentioned above but what is good is that either of them can be taken with confidence that a person is working in harmony with his body rather than drugging them into submission.
